SATPALDA has experience in creation of clutter data for telecom network planning using satellite images at various resolution ranging from 0.61m to as coarse as 30m. We also provide data in form of digital city models containing information on the height of the buildings and type of land-use\land-cover using single high-resolution images for line of sight studies and micro-cellular network planning. Usually datasets for telecommunication industry are provided in so-called “packages.” A standard telecom package includes the following components:
- Raster maps
- Digital Terrain Model (DTM)
- Digital City Model (for urban packages)
- Linear vector dataset
- Clutter data
Additional datasets or layers can be provided upon request. Packages designed for general planning in order to provide information for large areas such as group of countries or individual countries are also available. Regional packages are intended for more accurate planning within smaller areas, such as provinces or large metropolitan and suburban areas.
